Much as I really wanted to, I couldn't allow myself to relax over the weekend. I did a bunch of shopping, including new bedding and some new skirt/jacket combos for the work week. When I got home Saturday, I was exhausted and after throwing the washable clothes in the laundry, I had a light dinner and napped on the couch.

Later that night, I played with my finances and ensured that everything was still cool. The best part about taking the new job was that I didn't have to focus on the finances. I didn't need the money to survive. It would be nice, but my investments and planning had paid off big time. Couple that with how low key I lived and I could've lasted a long time without work.

What this did for me was escalate my plans for sexual reassignment surgery. I could afford it a lot quicker with the income from the new job and I could easily save up for it. Based on the literature I had received, I could probably seriously plan for it in the next eight months.

The apprehension I felt made me smile. I had to puzzle through what I was concerned about. I had already taken so many steps that I couldn't turn back from, what was this one but the final chapter in a book? I would be able to start something very different once my male genitals were removed. I could finally just be Cynthia...and not feel trapped half way between two worlds. ...
