Another day at the beach

It was another Florida summer forecast, Sunny with a high of 93 and a 30% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. I was excited to be heading back to Playalinda Beach, a nude beach on the Atlantic coast of Florida just above the Kennedy space center, part of the Canaveral National Seashore. I paid my entrance fee and headed straight for parking lot 13, the only section where nude sunbathing was permitted. I wore my white linen pull over shirt and matching pants the end just above the ankles, an outfit I picked up in Key West the year before. Very comfortable and very sheer.

I was lucky today, I got the last parking space in lot 13. The car behind me had to go back to parking lot 12 and walk the ½ mile to 13. I grabbed my gear, my bag with towel and lotion, etc, the latest edition of Penthouse letters. My cooler with drinks and a snack. I also brought my hammock, the kind with its own frame. The hammock was very relaxing, but pretty heavy. The sound and smell of the ocean greeted me before I could actually see it. To see it you have to walk up and over a boardwalk that traverses the dunes that line the beach. The beach is on a barrier island, so you have water on both sides of the road.
