A few months back my husband and I welcomed our first child to our family. It has been the usual type of pregnancy and like any other woman I managed to put on some extra weight. I was committed to getting back in shape after I had my son but unfortunately having a baby tightened up our budget and I really couldn't afford to go to the gym. We had a treadmill and exercise bike in our basement along with a weight bench and the punching bag. I decided that I would try on my own to lose the weight and get back in shape and see what happens. I began going down to the basement for an hour each night after work and walked on the treadmill as well as rode the bike for several miles.
