One of my favorite websites is a message board that's not specifically about sex, but topics come up, and those of us who are able enlighten others about them. I'm one of the go-to folks when people bring up non-traditional sexuality and gender issues. Not long ago, I got a private message from my friend Casey. He's a common type in today's world, which is to say, he basically believes in human dignity, but he worries sometimes about things that might be misogynist or predatory. The conversation went like this:

CASEY: I was at my favorite amateur porn photo site, and I saw a woman on her back with three guys. I clicked on the user's name, and the next picture showed her with four guys.

JOYCE: Okay so far ...

CASEY: Sometimes the caption tells you a little bit about what was going on, but not this time. I couldn't see much of her face, and I wondered whether she was enjoying it.

JOYCE: It's not impossible. Women like sex, too.

CASEY: I'm just trying to imagine how a scene like this gets started. I imagined her doing it with one guy, and then another guy just happens along, and then another, and it just seems too far-fetched to be real.
