Of all the Windows Operating system's Kate had used, from being a general office assistant to an office administrator, XP was far and away the best; something that millions of business users agreed upon. So why did Microsoft deem it necessary, to urge users to update to W8, she mulled, as the monitor lit up and displayed the W8 welcome screen for the first time.

Easy to get around, her colleagues and Kate were informed, when they attended a short meeting where its simplicity was demonstrated.

No games Kate noticed, not that she was one for whiling away spare time at the office on such trivialities. Only to recall just how many of the others, mostly the men, did.

"Dam," she called out, then: "urg," in frustration, just as Mike Davies strolled past her office.

"How goes it," he enquired, his soft lilting voice accompanied by a pleasant smile, stopping Kate from almost picking up the cordless keyboard and hitting the monitor with it.

"I'm going around in circles it seems. I just can't get used to it, Mike. Bring back XP, that's all I can say for it," she uttered resignedly.
