Chapter 7: Two Ships Passing

Armand knew he was being foolish. He felt like a silly love struck schoolboy skulking after an unattainable girl who had to satisfy himself with viewing her from a distance and fantasizing about her falling madly in love with him.

He knew if he could just talk to her they could work out their differences and be together again. The problem was finding an opportunity to talk to her. So against his better judgment he drove to Lac Noir the weekend before Thanksgiving hoping to find her.

He had no idea where she lived. The local phone directory wouldn't have her name and address published since she just moved there. He'd be able to call information and possibly get her home phone number but with caller ID she would know it was him and refuse to take his call. She did that for two months after she walked out of his life.

He recently traded in his Jaguar and his pickup truck and purchased a new black Mercedes ML63 that could serve the dual purpose as his everyday vehicle and to haul his boat. It was a vehicle that Tallia had never seen before. He booked a room at the Grande Belle Hotel for two nights and drove up on Friday afternoon. He had until Sunday to find her.
