Barb and I stayed friends over the years. Her kids were teenagers by now, and could take care of themselves.....Dave damn near lived at his company (according to Barb) so she had 'free' time since she didn't work full time. I was heading out of town for a short week, and asked her if she wanted to go, and she jumped at the invitation. After she took care of things at the house, arranging assignments for the kids, the after school sports stuff, and all the usual crap of married life.......off we went, into the wild blue yonder....to Montgomery, AL.

It was about the mid 90's by now, and we were both in our late 40's or so. Barb was thrilled at flying. Over the years, I've had her just 'fly' around with me on the weekends, having fun. I taught her just about how to fly it....what the controls and gauges were telling her, etc. Pretty good at it too.

I have to tell you up front, that we talked about certain 'tapes' I loaned her, and the deep conversations we had over the years....just so you know what this event is going.

Once up in the air, our headphones on....we chatted and chatted and covered all subjects. We landed in Montgomery, grabbed a taxi and headed downtown, and checked into the hotel. I called the office to touch bases for Thursdays meeting, then Barb and I headed out shopping. We stopped at the bank, and told Barb to get "cash", as some places ...
