I was puttering around the house when my husband arrived from work and said that he needed to talk to me about something. I told him that I would get dinner ready and then we could sit at the table and chat. I headed off into the kitchen while he went down to the basement to unwind after work. I called him up stairs a short time later once dinner was ready and the two of us sat at the table and ate while we chatted. I asked him what he needed to talk about and he said that one of his friends had asked him for a huge favor and wanted to see if I was interested. I became a bit nervous, especially knowing his friends but listened to what he had to say anyway. He said that one of his closest friends had to travel overseas for about a month or so, possibly even more in order to attend to some family business. While he would be away, he needed someone to tend to his shore house because nobody would be there all summer. He was looking for someone to do that and had asked my husband if he could help him out. My husband couldn't do it because he had to work every day but figured that I could tend to the house since I was off of work. The only problem, was the fact that his friends house was nearly 2 hours away and there was no way that I was driving back and forth several times a week in order to tend to things and that's where my whole summer changed.
