So entering into the 2000's, I moved up in the company very well to the point I rarely traveled. No need for the plane, (taxes, fuel, inspections) for I sold it and let 'grass' runway grow back. Talked to the local farmers, and let them grow feed for their animals, and mine as well.

I decided to board "Horses", and run a Riding Stable. With permission of the surrounding farmers, I was able to make and use a "Trail" for willing patrons or borders to Ride.

I got a lot of advice from local breeders, Vets, and Horse people, etc., and I employed Barb to run it. The Barn was updated, nice stalls, an Office for the Horse attendant, fans, lights and security cameras. In moms ole' house, I'd live there, on and off while commuting back and forth to Chicago (car, train, "EL"). Stayed in town most of the time, especially during winters, commuting on weekends. Starting at spring thru fall, I was there every weekend, and sometimes three day weekends. Vacation time was "home". Coming home to relax was a vacation in itself. Nothing like home.

I made an Office in the house where all security monitors were observed. These cameras were 'different' from the ones in the Barn. The ranch hand would have 'their' set of cameras and Mine in the house.
