Story outline: Having come in early for her assistant manager who was at the dentist, Carly, the manageress of an I-max cinema house, found herself having to appeal to Ralph and George, the two fit young men who deliver the cinema's daily provisions.

At 24 years of age, I manage a four cinema I-max house in a bustling town, one that is on the boundary of Kent and London. We are very busy, it has to be said, mainly due to the fact that the surrounding areas had long since closed their cinema houses. Added to that, the residents of the borough are quite wealthy as noted by the cost of housing. I certainly couldn't afford to live in the borough, that's for sure, not even on my high wages.

Although the cinema is only open from early afternoon until late evening, sometimes early the next day if we are showing a long film, the working day, which starts with a daily delivery of provisions, begins at 9am.

After closing up, and all that entails, I generally finish just after midnight (sometimes later) and climb into bed just before 1am. So, all in all, a 15-hour work day, one that I share with Michael, my assistant manager, who oversees the morning delivery and running the cinema etc, until I arrive at 3pm.
