This is the seventeenth part, of many, about me and one incredible year in my life. I want to make it clear that everything in these stories is true. In a couple of instances where my memory failed me (it has been a dozen years) I have taken a few liberties but have based them on the facts I do remember. The names, except my own, have been changed and a few minor alterations were made to meet the requirements of this site. I've tried to capture as best I can the detail of each of these moments. The week after our incredible Sunday was a busy one. Daniel had his driving test on Tuesday, the same day that I had my doctor's appointment. Mum had clearly talked to the doctor about me because she got right to the point and talked about becoming "sexually active".

I was steered through a quick outline of the benefits and drawbacks of each of the major forms of contraception. She was surprised that we hadn't considered using condoms and gave me a lecture about sexually transmitted disease as well.

"Your mother and I think that it might be best if you consider the pill, she said.
