CABIN FEVER BY THE DARK DRAGON

We had just graduated from high school, and we wanted to spend the summer at a cabin in the mountains. George's parents had an old cabin and we decided to ask them if we could use it for a while. It was off the beaten track, but not isolated. His parents said they wouldn't charge us any rent on it, if we would help them out by cleaning the place up. We had been the best of friends since junior high school and had shared many good times together, and this seemed like the perfect adventure for us. We were anxious to get away from our parents and siblings for a while, and be out on our own. This would be our chance to be real "men".

With all of our arrangements and preparations done, we headed for the cabin. We left town about 3:00 AM so we could avoid all the traffic and congestion. None of us were hungry, so we decided we would eat once we got to the cabin. We took Bobby's car, since it had the most truck space for all of our supplies. We were all excited about our adventure as we pulled out onto the interstate.

The three hour drive to the cabin seemed to take no time at all. Once we left the interstate and started up the winding mountain road the scenery was beautiful. Nature at its very best. We arrived at the cabin just as the sun was rising. It was beautiful.
