Amy pulled up just behind the ciera, into the parking lot of the Budget Motel and shivered as she saw the rundown, two storey building. It could be described as a cross between a whore house and crack den. It's parking lot however was nearly empty that day barring a few hobos, a few women wearing gaudy and tacky outfits, almost certainly prostitutes and a few shady gents, almost certainly drug dealers. Maybe this place came to life at night.

She took one deep breath as she brought her trembling hands to the door lock button, unlocking the door and clutching her purse. She gingerly exited the vehicle, constantly gazing at the asphalt surface of the car park, too embarrassed to make eye contact with the two youngsters whom she had blindly followed to this questionable place. She did however take a quick glance as the local denizens looked at her with curiosity, a white suburban woman, dressed in her nurse's scrubs, pulling up in an expensive Subaru Outback, clutching her brown Louis Vuitton purse as she stood awkwardly in the parking lot of the notorious East St. Louis Budget Inn.
