Looking back I still find it hard to believe what happened, why it happened and how far it progressed in such a short period of time.

It was in 1976 when I first met Kelly. Although not the most beautiful or most shapely woman in the world, she had that certain "Je ne sais quois" about her. Could have been her eyes, or her smile, the sheen of her hair or maybe just her fantastic personality. We met at a party where basically everyone there was single and unattached. We sat outside just talking and sipping wine. Her laughter was infectious and rang like a bell. At one point during the evening, her hand touched my arm very innocently and yet it was like I had been struck by lightning.

Knowing full well that I would not be satisfied without seeing her again I asked if she would like to go to dinner and a stage play. She hesitated just enough for it to be intriguing to the point that I was off balance. Then suddenly that smile! "I would love to." As we parted from the party she gently kissed me, a kiss that lit rockets in my mind. I knew at that point that she and I would have something building in our lives. Naturally we progressed to dating regularly and eventually became intimate. Neither of us were virgins but we just took it very slowly, letting the intensity build. The night we first made love we had been watching the sunset from the Sunset coast in Michigan. Our kisses which started out slowly and almost shyly progressed into deep kisses which carried the promise of oh so much ...
