Janice straightened her uniform, checked that her hair was in place, and rang the chime. The door opened, she stepped through to an office, a dark-haired woman behind the desk. Janice stepped to stand in front of it, smiled nervously. "Ma'am? My supervisor told me to report here?"
The woman gazed up at her with little expression on her face. "Janice Brown? Please take a seat." She gestured to a pair of padded chairs facing each other. Janice hesitantly sat down, her hands clenched in her lap, the woman joined her in the other chair. "We have uncovered some accounting irregularities that you may have some knowledge of. You are not currently a suspect, but your co-operation is needed. Can you tell me about a rather expensive gift you received last year?"
Janice paled. Mike was an embezzler? He STOLE to buy her that? The woman was watching her closely, what did she want to hear?
"Ma'am, I swear I didn't know! He was so generous, so ... I swear I didn't know it was stolen!"
"Maybe we should start at the beginning. When did you first meet Michael?"

"Miss, could you give me a moment?"
Janice turned to face the customer. Well dressed, management, not bad looking at all. He had the helpless look many men had in the feminine products aisle.
"Yes, sir. How may I help you?"
"Well..." It was a typical story, his niece was visiting, and urgently needed some 'supplies'. " ... and I have no idea if these are the right ones."
Janice scrutinized the scrawled note, quickly found the right product on the shelf, and walked him up to the checkout line.
He glanced down at her nametag. "Thank you, Janice. You're a lifesaver." He gave her a sheepish grin as he turned to pay for the product.
The next day, he came in and sought her out. "I wanted to thank you again. You made my day much easier. She was SO embarrassed, I didn't dare call her to ask her... Well, thanks."
Janice gave him a polite smile. "Just doing my job, sir."

"I just thought of it as a regular interaction, Ma'am. He was polite, friendly, a little helpless ... he came in every couple days, and eventually asked me out to coffee. I said yes."
"Just coffee?"
"Just coffee at first. Then he asked to meet me for dinner. And a few weeks later, I was kissing him goodnight at my apartment door, and..."

Mike smiled down at Janice. "You're very good at that, you get a lot of practice?" His tone made it clear he was joking, Janice blushed deep red anyway.
"Yes. Thousands of hours. I buy lip balm in bulk."
Mike didn't hesitate, he bent his head again to kiss her, his hands on her hips, pulling her close. His erection was hard against her stomach, his pants tented out. She hesitated, then put her arms around him and kissed him deeply. When she came up for air, she pulled back and looked in his eyes. "Would you like to come in?"
He eyes were bright, his voice eager. "Damn right I would."
