I didn't plan for any of this; it just happened.

My name is Danny Farnham. I've never been a Dan or Daniel. It stuck because, I never had that growth spurt that boys get as they grow through puberty. At eighteen, I was barely five feet tall. So, I was a boy: Danny.

That's another thing: puberty. It kind of, sort of happened, but it didn't. I could get away with shaving once or twice a month. I had no hair on my chest, no pubic hair worth mentioning, and I'm embarrassed to say, I still had a little boy penis or as I still called it, my pee-pee.

In high school I avoided gym class, and the required post-gym class shower. There was no way I was going to let other guys see what I didn't have. I was certain they'd laugh and worse tell their girlfriends and sisters.

I also didn't date. I mean junior and senior girls in high school had no interest in dating pre-pubescent boys, which I was physically, if not chronologically. Besides, even the shortest girl was much taller than me.

Since there was no there there, I also didn't masturbate. I mean what was there to play with.

What I didn't know, and didn't learn until much later in life is that less than one-twentieth of one percent of boys and girls don't complete puberty until their early twenties, and an even smaller percentage, never experience it at all. I was in that second group.

The problem got worse when I went off to college. I had to take a physical. The instructions for the physical were specific and detailed. The college wanted to know everything.

I handed the instructions to the receptionist at the hospital and less than ten minutes later a nurse called me in. "I'm Nurse Nancy Tripp, but I'm not sure what this is all about, We rarely see this type of physical. You're not military, are you?"

"No ma'am." I called her ma'am because she was older than my mother, and that's the way I was raised. "Why?"

"Hmmm, they're asking for the most comprehensive physical I've ever seen." She confirmed my date of birthday. She double-checked that. Everyone did. It was hard to believe I was eighteen. I looked more like twelve. "You need to take off everything but your underwear. I'll be back in a few minutes."

After undressing, except for my briefs, I sat on the exam table. It wasn't too long. "Okay, Danny, I do all the preliminary work and then Doctor Nathaniel will be in. Take off your briefs, and step on the scale."

Of course, I was embarrassed when I took off my jockeys. Nurse Nancy didn't make it any easier when she looked at it and then looked again. "Danny, tell me your date of birth again."

I told her. "That means you're eighteen," she shook her head. I knew why. She wrote down my weight. ‘Stand over here, so I can get your height." I stood, back against the wall.

The Nurse stood back a few feet and just looked. I was certain she was trying not to laugh and I knew why. I was blushing. "Danny, I've been doing this for over twenty years. I've seen naked boys before. No need to be embarrassed."

That was the problem; she called me a boy. She mentioned the military; I could join the army. The army recruits men over eighteen. I qualified and I was just starting college.

Then she adjusted the measuring stick, and wrote down my height. "While, you're standing there, I have to check for hernias; it's all just routine." She put on gloves and put her hand under my balls, "Turn your head to the right and cough. Good. Now to the left. Hmmmm."
