Part 12 This is written from an English perspective about High School fun in the USA. The author has spent considerable time in the USA since the 1980’s both on business and vacation, so has a good, but not perfect, level of understanding and experience. This is still only a fantasy and may not be truly reflective and accurate in every respect.

Part 1 outlines the characters and background to Pete’s exchange visit to Brenton, a small town in the Southern US and from Part 2 until Part 11 how his relationships develop over his short stay around the end of the college year. As Pete waited in Atlanta Greyhound bus station checking the arrivals screens he reflected on the first week of the two he would spend as an intern at the legal company SJC. He was staying with Mike and Marie Robson and their teenage daughter Emma another senior who was waiting to attend college in the autumn, Emma was the same age as the Benton senior year ladies. He was working for Mike who was a junior partner at SJC, but saw little of him during the day except the ride into the office and back.
