It was a long flight from London to Lagos, Alise’s reminisces continued:

After that night with Kenji, in the morning, Alise Schulteiss Braun found a robe, and while Kenji Yamamoto slept, she explored the mansion. It was quiet and there was no evidence that there were any staff around. Kenji told her they wouldn’t arrive until he called them.

He startled her and she jumped off the float into chest high water; covering up.

“Good morning, Kenji-san. Are you going to join me?” ...
