CourtneyThe Covid pandemic changed many things, including how we do business and to some degree, the family structure. Covid made it difficult to meet new people, and it crushed many swinger’s clubs.
My name is Courtney. I am a thirty-year-old woman, and I am happily married to my husband, Adam. He is thirty-three and we have been married for nine years. Before Covid, we had been what I would consider a very normal couple, and I had never considered cheating on my husband. Even today, I detest cheaters, which is what makes my story seem strange.
When everything was locked down, I was pleased that I was allowed to work from home. I could continue to contribute to our family finances, plus I had the added benefit of not having to dress for work, most days, unless we had a meeting that I needed to attend. I even sat through a training meeting wearing a nice top. My hair and makeup were perfect, but below my desk, I only wore a loose pair of shorts. I didn't even bother with panties, so as the training instructor droned on, I let my fingers do the walking. I was not brave enough to try and have a climax, because I knew that the training instructor and probably my bosses could see everyone at the meeting.
I may not have climaxed then, but the second the meeting was over, and I was sure the Zoom link had been disconnected, I leaned back in my chair and gave myself a very nice orgasm. Working from home had its advantages including having a quickie with my husband when he came home and he found a reason to come home quite often. There was also a very real downside. Working from home was lonely. I still spoke on the phone with many of my colleagues, but it is just not the same as being face-to-face in the office.
I decided that a couple of times each week I would dress nicely and have a real lunch hour. I would walk a quarter mile or so that it was, to a nice coffee and sandwich place. Yes, I had to wear a mask to get in the building but once a customer sat at a table, they were allowed to remove their mask to eat and drink their coffee. I am not sure how much good wearing a mask, for the minute it usually took to place my order, and walk to a table, but that is how it was done.
The first time I went to the coffee shop I noticed an attractive man sitting at the table next to me. Well, even in normal times I often talk to strangers; so, after being deprived of human contact for several months, I was quick to strike up a conversation with this man. Apparently, he was suffering from the same problem because I quickly learned that he was at the coffee shop for the same reasons as I was.
His name was Dave and he checked off many of the boxes in my mental checklist for men that I might be attracted to. He was a couple of inches over six feet tall. He appeared to be in good physical shape and had boyish good looks that made him very approachable. Even though he was dressed casually, I could tell his clothes were high quality. We talked about everything and nothing. I could tell that he too missed human contact. After several minutes I invited him to join me at my table. Part of the plan to protect us all from COVID-19 was to force the owners of the coffee shop to use every other table. They had to try and make a living with half as many paying tables. It was uncomfortable speaking loud enough to converse with him two tables away. I invited him to join me and we shook hands. Yeah, I know, I was risking my life.
We got along wonderfully and I was sure to let him know when I planned to return to the coffee shop. Two days later, I found myself doing more than dressing nicely. I wore a top that showed just a little cleavage, and I spent a bit more time on my makeup. Dave was waiting for me when I arrived and once again, we had an hour of stimulating conversation. I learned that his situation was very similar to mine. He was married and had two kids who were in their teens. His wife was an essential worker and continued in her job while he worked from home and found it hard to stay home every day.
We started out meeting twice a week but after a few weeks, we met three or four times a week. I began to look forward to seeing him and our meeting was the highlight of my day. This had nothing to do with my
