Skyler nudged the apartment door closed with the back of his left heel. He tossed his backpack onto the dining room table and looked around for Ethan. Usually Ethan beat him home by an hour. It was lunch-time or there about. Going back through the kitchen, he found a note stuck on the fridge with a magnate.

He then hauled out the massive reference books he had been lugging to and from school for this entire semester.
