It had been such a hard day at work, and I was relieved to get home. The day had been a hot one, and looking out of the window of the office at the hot weather, and hot women, walking past had just made me feel frustrated about being inside. The sweat was dripping off me all day, and I couldn’t get any work done at all. As soon as I got into my apartment, I just fell down on my couch and lay down, thinking of nothing but sleep. I was out for what seemed like hours, but was awoken after about thirty minutes of sleep by a pounding on my door. In a daze, I got up and opened the door slightly. I was amazed at who was standing before me. There was a young woman in front of me, bumbling and confused. I didn’t have a clue who she was, but she pushed her way through me into my apartment. ‘Close the door’ she ordered. I did as she said, as I didn’t have a clue what was going on: I was still half asleep from my rest. I managed to ask her who she was and what she was doing in my house. She began to explain to me that she had just been chased by someone whilst in her car, and that she had managed to get away from her. My mind was completely muddled. I didn’t know what to say, so I asked her why anyone would chase her. She told me that she was as confused as I was, and asked if she could just stay in my place for a bit. I looked at her for a moment. I couldn’t believe that a stranger had just burst into my house and asked me if she could stay there for a while, to avoid being chased by some mystery stranger. I had no choice really, but to accept, and she stayed for a while.
