Being a CNA is a hard job or as we say "The shit end of the nursing profession." Yet even with this, the job is very rewarding. To know you have made a difference in someone's life is a wonderful feeling. After finishing my CNA course at the local nursing home. I was determined to become a Nurse. I applied for nursing courses at Albany State University. Being out of the school scene since high school this prospect scared the hell out of me. And yet excited me in hope of a brighter future.

Packing up what little belongings I have. I moved to Albany, and rented a little studio apartment. Exhausted from the move and unpacking all day. Thinking that I only have a month till school was to start. I was eager to get my self-a part time job to cover the extra expenses that my tuition did not cover. Agreeing to my self that a long hot relaxing bath and a good night's rest were my best course of action at beginning my new life.

Drawing a bath, I pour in some scented bath salts of lavender. The steam rises above the edge of the claw tub. I light a few candles and grab a glass of wine from the kitchen as I wait for the tub to fill. Undressing, I step into the hot water one foot at a time. I may have gotten the temperature a bit to hot, as my skin was turning red as fast as I could stand to lower my body below water level.
