*****One Fateful Night*****

My heart was beating heavily with anticipation, and I could tell she felt the same way. After months of playing out scenarios in my head, all of my sordid fantasies were about to be realized. I slipped the card into the reader. The green light flashed and I opened the door to our luxurious hotel room. I stood aside, allowing Anna to enter first. She went to look out the window as I shut the door behind me. After a second of thought I opened it again to hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign. I had a feeling this was going to be a long night.

I shut the door once again and twisted the dead bolt. I stood silently, watching Anna from across the room. She had opened the curtains and was taking in the view of Midtown from our upper floor hotel room. I waited patiently, and eventually she turned back around. Our eyes met, and she smiled nervously.
