Lisa wandered around the camp site looking for something to do. She had already completed all of the tasks that Paul had asked her to do while he went to a spot on the stream he heard the fish were biting. Paul had been gone all day and she had expected him back a couple of hours ago.

This was a rare trip that they had been able to make without the kids. Paul looked forward to fishing season every year when the trout and salmon started running, but this year the guys he normally went north with cancelled out on him. Lisa was not really into fishing but enjoyed camping and being in the woods. She normally would not have been able to go along but her parents were down and offered to watch the kids for the weekend. So Paul and Lisa had headed out for a long weekend of camping, fishing and getting back to nature.

Lisa was content to hang around the camp and read while Paul fished. Then in the evening they would have a nice camp fire and talk as the sun set. The fresh air and natural surroundings seemed to really invigorate Paul and he seemed happier here than anywhere else. Lisa enjoyed the benefits of Paul’s raised spirits at night after they had retired to the tent.

As Lisa was thinking about this and looking forward to the evening she heard a car’s engine coming down the dirt lane towards their camp site. It didn’t sound like their car and this proved true as a pickup truck rounded the bend and pulled into the camp. As she got up and walked ...
