The sun shone warmly on the back of her neck and a gentle breeze made small ruffles in the ocean alongside the kayak. She paused a moment in her paddling and turned to look over her shoulder. He was looking off into the distance, and she took the opportunity to let her gaze fall over him, taking in his blue eyes, his soft full lips, and his lean muscular body.

“Look. We’re here.”

His voice distracted her from her ogling, and she looked forward again. The small island, not much more than a stand of trees, a few boulders and a small strip of sand, was before them. A few more strokes, and they were sliding the kayak up onto the island. She stood and unbuckled her life jacket, letting it fall away from her body. She turned to him and opened her mouth to speak, but no words were needed. She could read the look in his eyes and the urgency with which he unbuckled his life jacket.

Their lips met. The firm warm pressure of his mouth on hers turned her on instantly, but her small cry of pleasure was lost as he deepened his kiss, his tongue intertwining with hers, running along her teeth and her lips.
