Up in by Jacksonville, Vermont, maybe 50 minutes from North Adams is Herriman Reservoir (a.k.a. Lake Whitingham). The lake is open to boaters and swimmers but one particular section, known as the ledges, is open to nudists.

Well in August of 2001, there was a weather shift and a heat wave which kept rain to a minimum and temperatures into the nineties persisted. The four of us (we still hadn't extended our club memberships by this point) decided that a true to form sex club would not be afraid to enjoy the nude beach. So we packed a lunch, hoped into the SUV and headed north.

About 50 minutes later we were driving into the parking lot of the Jacksonville state park, I think it's a state park anyway. There's generally three areas of the Ledges that accommodate nudists. The first has a sandy beach but gathers a lot of families or couples. The second are open rock ledges that usually get single adults or adult groups and finally, way in the back, is where the naughty people try to hide.
