Hospitals can cure anything

Paul was starting the first day of his new summer job. He had just finished his leaving cert and was looking forward to a brilliant summer. He wanted this hospital job to fund his social life for the summer. Paul’s mother had gotten him a job as a porter in the city hospital. It was his job to transport packages, patients and equipment around the hospital. It was a really nice job. Paul loved being employed. It allowed him to focus his mind on something constructive. He also loved the way people got to know his name and his friendly face. That was the thing about Paul, he was always in a good mood. He always seemed happy and made others laugh as well.

It wasn’t that Paul had no problems, he had lots of them, it’s just that his outlook on life was a good one and he didn’t take things very serious. The only problem that weighed on his mind was the fact that he was too afraid to try and get a girlfriend. He was always making good friends but he felt it would be a bad thing to jeopardise a good friendship for a girlfriend. This didn’t bother Paul all that much, he enjoyed his friends company a lot, he just felt as if sex was passing him by. He was an eighteen year old virgin and that didn’t sit too well on his mind.
