It was the summer just before freshman year of college. Ella invited me over to her house, usually we just sat around and talked about nothing. That day was a little different.

I had known Ella ever since preschool- we've done everything together. We shaved our legs for the first time together... and cut off half of the skin on our legs. We had our first beers together and watched the reailty spin off into the distance. We even got our first periods within a week of each other.

Ella was a beautiful girl. She had deep tan skin and brown eyes that when you looked into nothing else mattered. She always made my problems seem less stressful.
