Through the window of the cat, Jack could see the lights flash by, the story of his life. It was cold in the cab, chilling Jack down to his bones. When, just ten years ago he could chat simply with the cab driver, now was an effort in futility. All the cab drivers of the city were simple robots now, the result in the wave of mechanical zombies that had littered the country, thanks to Robotics INC.

But Jack shouldn't complain, after all he worked for the bastards. It always felt wrong somehow, the stress getting to him. He was always told to put romantic ideals of morals behind him, to forget the ways of old and embrace the new society, in some ways he could not.

Zzzzt. The cab sparked to a halt, small wet electric bolts flying ...
