Alicia drove up the winding road to San Simeon and gazed at the beautiful green hills, dotted with oak trees and native pines. On the hillsides she saw a herd of some kind of African antelope and several zebras. Pulling her red Mustang into the parking lot, she looked up at the amazing castle that William Randolph Hearst had built over 75 years ago when his newspaper empire controlled most of what we would call "media" today.

Alicia had been to the castle before, but many years ago as a teenager when she had spent most of the day flirting with boys in the entourage. Now, as she looked up at the tall towers and the massive works of art on the grounds, she wondered what it must have been like to have been there back in the ‘30s and ‘40s when Cary Grant, Clark Cable, Betty Davis, Barbara Stanwyk and other [censored] of the day visited the famous playground. She remember reading about the "no questions asked" policy for guests, as to who might be seen sneaking around late at night going into someone's room. In those days, it was one of the few places [censored] could let their hair down with whomever they pleased. She recalled reading about Cary Grant and Randolph Scott, two handsome, virile actors of the day, who - rumor has it - had a homosexual affair at San Simeon.
