It is a weird life - what start off as me hounding around outside of my marriage has ended up with me mostly now having sex only vicariously through my wife.

I guess I have to start with a bit of history. My wife of ten years and I had a decent life, but the bedroom had gotten a bit boring. We were both still pretty young and both of us kept in pretty good shape. In the end, I guess we were both a bit untrustworthy and having the occasional fling. We are in different fields, but both go to a work-related convention 3-4 times per year. After about our 4 year of marriage, I started flirting when away on these trips and had the occasional affair with a willing colleague. Ultimately, one of these ladies got pissed and sent a message to my wife. Pam and I had a long discussion, in which I tried to explain that these affairs meant nothing to me and that I never did it around her or with anyone we knew. Ultimately, Pam confessed to also having one or two affairs. After my initial shock, we tentatively agreed that these affairs were meaningless and that as long as the didn't interfere with our marriage and were done quietly, then we were free to flirt with others. I do remember that we had great sex that night and for several months thereafter. I do think our marriage became stronger because I no longer had to feel guilty about my infrequent infidelities at conventions.
