It is my habit every morning, to stop and get a cold soda pop at the local convenience store on my way to work. I'm there every weekday morning at nearly the same time, so I know the store clerks by name, and some of the other regulars stopping for their morning coffee or newspaper. This is where I met John, quite by accident.

John is about 30, about 5'10" with dark hair and light skin. The first morning I met him, he was dressed in his official uniform as a security/armored truck guard. I couldn't help but notice the gun strapped to his hip, but I quickly noticed how well his uniform fit his body. He was standing at the ATM machine, with the front opened up, and money clearly visible. The ATM was very close to the soda fountain, and I felt unsure if I could get my pop, or wait for him to finish.

"Can I get a pop?" I asked.

"Sure, go ahead" he responded, with a nice smile.

I moved in close to get the ice, noticing that he was just standing there, waiting for something.

"It must be like standing around with your fly open," I said casually, noticing how vulnerable he was with the open ATM.

"Yeah! You got that right," he said, with a devilish grin on his face. ...
