Give Me Shelter

We met about a half -mile from the shelter. It was such a beautiful afternoon just perfect for an overnight stay in my favorite shelter in the mountains.

"Excuse me, do you care if I sit with you"? He startled me; I didn't even hear him coming up behind me.

"Sure, I'd love to share this sunny spot with someone."

"My name is Rod, and I'm here from New Zealand attending school".

"Well hello Rod, my name is Rowan and I live here. Would you like some of my peppermint schnapps"?

"Sure".

We swap some facts about each other and get really comfortable with each other. Feeling just a little high from the schnapps we both get really relaxed, and realized its getting late so we grab our backpacks, and head for the shelter. Laughing all along the way. After we tie our packs up a tree we gather some wood and start us a fire inside the shelter in the fireplace.
