Surprise Homecoming

The weather was nice and clear when I left home early that evening. I was just meeting a couple of friends for a quick beer at the club. It was only a couple of hours later that I headed home and as I walked outside I could not believe how the sky had changed. It was chucking it down. It was less than a mile to walk home so I decided to make a go for it. It seemed that the faster I walked, the harder it rained. When I eventually got home, I was soaked to the skin.
