Darren leaned back in his executive chair and gazed out of his office door. He was watching Melanie, one of the management accountants who reported to him, making coffee for her colleagues. She was wearing her trademark tailored trouser suit, flattering her slim waist and full hips. She had been working in the office for several months now. He was undeniably attracted to her, with her short, almost boyish haircut, and greenish-brown eyes. She had a ready smile, though it always seemed to Darren that she used it more often for him than for others. Even the way she walked, hands slightly raised and with the sexiest wiggle in the office, was enough to distract him completely from whatever he was doing.

She looked over from the kitchen area and saw him watching her. Their eyes met. He held her gaze for what seemed like minutes, but was actually only a few seconds. Flustered, she looked away, almost spilling the coffee.

He waited until she was back at her desk before ringing her.

"Melanie, it's Darren," he saw her glance his way. "I need those cost centre reports for a board meeting tomorrow. Bring them down as soon as they're ready please."

"No problem," she replied. He hung up.
