Murph looked over the room. He was not impressed. Sure, they all had their own individual qualities, but somehow, the group seemed to be lacking. Whatever, he thought, they don't pay me to make them successful, only to pick them out and teach them the basics. The rest would be up to them. When each candidate had come in to talk to him initially, he rejected quite a few. Those that struck him as being above average, he had invited back to show up here this day. They were a diverse lot, that much he could give them credit for, and that meant that there were enough unknown factors in play that more than a few of them would survive. Selling cars was a tough business, after all, and it wasn't for just anyone. It wasn't that the business was all that difficult, rather it was all the bullshit from all ends that led to high attrition rates. At least under Murph's tutelage, some of these people would have a chance when they got tossed to the wolves. As his eyes scanned the room, he recalled why he had chosen them. One or two had real merit, which was about right. In the dealership, two of his trainees from last year were still there, and if he got the same results this time, he knew that he'd be back.

One of the ones that Murph mentally calculated would be able to do this was Michel. She was on the young side, having just finished college. Finishing college to sell cars! Murph snorted to himself.
