Run for the Roses The second year

Kathy was in the checkout line and for some reason had to write a check, something she seldom does since everyone takes debit cards. She asked the girl what the date was and she said, "April 26." As Kathy wrote the check she stopped and looked at me and said, "It's almost derby time! I've got to get busy." I laughed and told her, "Relax you still have 10 days, and it is just a two minute race." She looked at me like I was insane and said, "Ya right." After that first derby day things went somewhat back to normal except that the insinuated teasing became right out flashing and the accidental touch became all out groping. We still had cookouts and went out together and all the things that we always did. Since none of us have family here we gravitated to each other on holidays. The next time things got "out of hand" was 4th of July. We went up on this mountain to watch the fire works.
