When Jena got home, she changed into some lavender, jersey cotton, drawstring shorts that rested on her hips and a white lycra tank top. She had just bought a house a couple of months ago and there was so much to do. The front of the townhouse looked out onto a courtyard and beyond that, was another row of townhouses, also facing the center grassy, courtyard area.

The house was in pretty good condition, but still needed some work. There were cheap vertical blinds covering all of the floor-to-ceiling windows, which blocked most of the sunlight from of the house. Since she had purchased the house around Christmas-time, she hadn't had much time to make any of the improvements she wanted to. Now that things had settled down, it was time to get her hands dirty! Her first task for the day - take down those awful blinds and put up some new horizontal mini-blinds to brighten up the place. She opened the vertical blinds and began her task.

The previous owners had their own "flare" for home improvement. Taking down the vertical blinds turned out to be more of a task than Jena had expected. The screws that came in the package with the blinds were obviously too time consuming for them, so they had nailed the blinds to the window frame instead of installing them properly. Jena hated the blinds enough that she was determined to rip them down, even if she took some of the window frame with them.
