The day had been incredibly slow and not many people were coming into the little office supply store Cynthia managed. She had spent the greater part of the day pacing restlessly about the isles in the store. One can only dust and straighten so many times before going crazy she thought to herself. The hours seemed to tick away slowly upon the clock, until finally it hit 6pm.

Cynthia quickly closed up the store and counted out. Having worked at the store for 6 years, she had gotten extremely adept at closing and could get it done in less than 10 minutes. It only took a few minutes more to set the alarm and leave.

The drive back to the apartment did not take long and when she pulled in the driveway, she could see that Chad had beaten her home. She wondered how long he had been home and whether he had thought of anything to do. She was always clueless as to how to spend the evening.
