I had been driving all day. I was on my way from Los Angeles to Chicago, and I had to stop to get a bite to eat and to stretch my legs. I had been on the road for two days now, stopping only to eat and use the restroom. At night, I tried to find a nice hotel, but it wasn't always possible. Last night I had slept in the car for a few hours before getting on the road again. I was going to my little brother's graduation, and I was running late, as usual.

Now, I was finally shaking off some of this road fatigue. I was sitting in this little truck stop on the side of the highway. As I waited for the waitress to take my order, I amused myself by watching the traffic coming and going. I was amazed at the business this little place did.

My mind was a million miles away when I heard someone beside me clear their throat. Startled, I looked up and next to me was standing the most devastatingly handsome man I had ever seen! He was about 6'2, maybe 210 lbs. He had shoulder length blonde hair that he had pulled back into a ponytail. He was very solidly built, as though he worked out often. His skin was deeply tanned, and he had the beginnings of a 5 o'clock shadow. He looked like the sort of man I would love to wrap myself around!

"May I take your order, ma'am?" He asked in a deep voice.

"Oh...um...yes..." I stuttered, my mind in obvious disarray. "I'll just ...
