I've been interested in [censored] since I saw a demonstration on TV as a teen. The hypnotist asked for a volunteer from the audience to serve as a test subject. He selected a young woman from the first row. He explained that he would put her into a deep trance and then give her suggestions that she would act out once she was awakened. She willingly agreed.

He asked her to take a seat on a comfortable chair. Instead of swinging a pocketwatch on a chain, he used a little spiral disk that rotated slowly to produce a whirlpool effect. He cautioned the cameraman not to show the disk on the TV screen because he didn't want to [censored] the viewing audience. After a few moments, the girl's chin fell forward onto her chest. She was under. Then the hypnotist said calmly, "When you awaken you will feel very cold. And you will ask me for my jacket. Do you understand?" She nodded slowly.

The hypnotist snapped his fingers and she became fully awake. She looked around the stage for a moment and then started shivering. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"It's freezing in here," she responded. "Can I have your jacket?" she asked between chattering teeth.
