A Master Place l

    He drove in and out, through and around the best forests the Laurel Mountains had to offer.  This was in stark contrast to the vacations he had taken in the past.

      This time he wanted the tranquility and privacy of the mountains.  The travel agent couldn't have suggested a prettier place, he thought, as he neared his destination.

      It was still early morning when he pulled over to look at the map.  He turned off the radio and put the window down.  The birds were singing, the air fresh, and the Mountain Laurel were in full bloom.  "Yes, this is the lane", he said aloud, setting the map aside.

        The lane was just wide enough for the Jeep to pass. The words secluded, peaceful, serene, quiet, private, among many others went through his head as he drove further along.  He saw the cabin through the trees.  "Oh yes".  This was just what he had in mind.  The five hour drive had been worth it.  This would be perfect.

      He parked the car, and got out,  stretched his legs, breathed in the mountain air, and took a quick glance around.   The Cabin, was small, and of simple design.  Box like with a pitched roof and a small front porch.  It was apparent great care had been taken to preserve it. ...
