The wind blew through Jeff Emerson shaggy hair as he rode in the back of the old pickup truck.

The scenery was beautiful, but lost in thought, Jeff didn't notice. He wondered how he his life had gotten to this point.

He looked like a bum down on his luck. Jeff had the grand total of fifty cents in his pocket, was badly in need of a bath, and needed to run his clothes through a washer. Probably do better to throw them in the trash.
