Anne sat up in her chair as the office door opened. The object of her secret fantasies popped his head in and dropped off his mail. He straightened up and looked at her.

"You look nice," he said with a smile.

"Thanks," she said softly, smiling back.

He left, and she slumped back down. ‘Did he really talk to me?' she asked herself. She did not think she looked nice at all actually.
