My wife, Peg, and I had been married for enough years that our sex life had become somewhat predictable. Not that it was bad, mind you, just the same things, time after time. We still loved each other, and were still turned on by each other - we just didn't have the same fire in our sex life that we had had when we first got married. Peg explained that Julie (who had grown up with Peg), had stopped by a little earlier. They had been talking, and Julie had explained that her sex life was as stuck in a rut as ours was.

The difference was that Julie was one of those women, if she perceived a problem, would go out of her way to find a solution.
