My Fantasy: Part I

I am wearing a long, black trench coat with the collar pulled up high and a fedora with the broad brim pulled down low. It is dark and raining. The city street is lined with houses that were once grand and are now mostly shabby. I step out of the taxi and quickly mount the steps of a nondescript, though rather imposing, brick house. No. 63. The lights are low and the shades are pulled. It would seem that the residents do not wish to be disturbed, but when I ring the bell the doors open and I am instantly admitted.
