The weekend is finally here. I have been so anxious for it to get here. We have decided to spend the weekend on the sailboat enjoying the pleasure of having nowhere to be or nothing to do. The weather has been great. Summer is so beautiful here in the Okanagan. The days are sunny and hot. The lake is now warm enough to swim in. Or at least the hot sun beating down on lazy tanned skin makes you so hot that the cool water feels so exhilarating as it refreshes you to your soul.

There is a slight breeze in the evening that blows its coolness over the valley. It is so nice to just sit and enjoy the peace of the evening feeling the cool breeze blow over you. The sky is clear and the stars twinkle brightly. You can't help but think of the possibilities as you look at the vast beauty of the night sky. Thinking that the same stars have been shining their light down on us for centuries. This natural beauty we seem to take for granted as we busily shuffle through our all-consuming lives.

I take Friday off and spend the day getting the boat ready for the weekend. I am sure to pack plenty of food and drink. I also sneak on a few sacks of cider for use to enjoy. For most of the morning I just sit on the boat basking in the morning sun. The feel of the sun warming my body as I daydream of how nice it will be just to spend time with you; floating around the lake letting the powers of the wind and currents take control of our days.
