He broke the kiss and looked into her eyes and suddenly it dawned on him what he wanted. What he felt. What he'd done. What he would do, if only she were willing.

He took her in his arms and felt the lace of her bodice against him. He bent to kiss her and as he did he unzipped the dress. She looked at him with a smile on her face. She knew what it meant. And she shuddered with the thought of the honor she was about to take part in. Together they coaxed her arms out of the sleves and the dress dropped to the floor. They both kicked the dress away from them and he brought her into his arms again, close for another kiss.

"I love you." he said, sounding a little amazed. She knew it wasn't that he was just figuring out that he loved her, but that he was figuring out that he loved her with the strength and power that he did.

She smiled up at him. "And I love you. Very much." She did not mention anything more. This was not something that should really be discussed, she felt. It should simply be allowed to happen. They weren't preparing their taxes. Not even close.
