As I sit here gazing out of my window view looking at the lush valley beyond I reflect on that first moment years ago. It was the height of a halcyon summer one day in August when I first met him. The heat was blistering hot and people walked along the sun-baked pavements wearily. There was no coolness in the air.

Some young parents were out in their gardens. The young females sunning their bikini-clad bodies or playing with their children splashing about in the inflatable swimming pools. The men were running around in nothing but shorts.

I had just moved to the area with my parents and brothers. I was 17, naive and still a virgin. Don't get me wrong; I had thought of sex plenty of times. My problem was I was too shy and inferior to do anything about it.
