Jim Blades was in his usual booth at the club with his buddies on Friday night. The "Fast Surf" club on Newport Beach isn't exactly a high-class place, but the band was good and the beer was cheap, so Jim, Frank, and Bill staked out the place as their own and were soon "regulars" on the weekends. Jim was pretty much the leader of the trio of construction workers, and he let his macho ego run wild at the club, squeezing the butt cheeks of the young waitresses, trying to pull women off the dance floor to his booth, and generally raising hell most of the time.

Tonight was no different, so Bill and Frank sucked down beers while Jim pressed a voluptuous blonde tightly on the dance floor, his hand sliding down to her butt and then back up her spine. When he whispered to her: "C'mon baby, you could do all three of us.... Best night of your life" she wrenched herself free and smacked his face. "Someone will put you in your place yet, you asshole" were her parting remarks as she left the bar. Jim just grinned at his buddies and shrugged, sauntering his six-foot frame back to the booth.

Juanita had owned the Taco Surf for several years, and was not all that thrilled that Jim and his buddies were coming in every weekend. Oh sure, their money was good, but they were running away every decent woman in the place. Some of the women complained to Juanita, but without money for a good bouncer, there was little she could do and ...
